State Archives of Florida discovered a 16 minutes film in which appears Jim Morrison, former singer and poet of the legendary musical group “The Doors”. This black and white clip was filmed in 1964 at Florida State University . The short film can be viewed at floridamemory.com and is titled “Jim Morrison: college dork”. Jim Morrison was born in Melbourne, FL . He attended Florida State University before enrolling at UCLA film school in California where he met his future as lead singer of “The Doors”. In 1969 Morrison came back to his home town, Miami Dade-County , for a performance with his band. Some days later he was accused of Lewd & Lascivious Behaviour, Indecent Exposure, Open Profanity and Drunkenness during the show.
