Mortgage broker has been sued by Labor Department
It has been reported that the US Department of Labor has filed a lawsuit against a mortgage broker for owing more that $239,000 in back pay to about 200 loan officers.
It has been said that 51 of the 200 employees listed in the complaint are from Alliance Mortgage’s South Florida places in West Palm Beach, Aventura and Boca Raton. According to the complaint that has been already presented, all owed payments ranged from $150 to almost $2,150 among the employees. US Law requires that all these workers must be paid with at least the federal minimum salary for the hours they have worked and in which are included any additional hours worked after the 40-hours work week reported.
